    Job Description:

    The role is responsible for leading the Digital Consulting Team, ensuring IM Digital engagement with key business stakeholders, to define requirements and to coordinate the business and IM teams to deliver De Beers strategic initiatives and projects across all business units. This specific role will have a strong Mining and Upstream focus.

    The purpose of this is role is to support the business strategy of leveraging data to directly drive business value. The Lead Digital Consultant conducts demand management, prioritises digital opportunities aligned with architecture and business goals that will deliver value for the organisation. This is a tactical and operational supporting role that enables digital transformation and is aligned with IM and business objectives and operating model.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Work safely and be committed to being a safety leader.
  • Facilitate demand management, collaborating with business units.
  • Manages the workload and priorities of the Digital Consulting Team
  • Develops and maintains a clear roadmap for digital projects, optimizing resource usage and integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborates with application and enterprise architects.
  • Monitors and reports on the progress and the impact of digital initiatives, using data-driven insights for informed decisions.
  • Advises with expertise on emerging technologies and trends, fostering innovation in digital consulting.
  • Develops and nurtures relationships with stakeholders.
  • Helps drive the function-technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Translation of business requirements, developed in partnership with the functions, into technical workable solutions.
  • Identification, incubation, and exploitation of relevant technology innovation opportunities.
  • Owns portfolio prioritisation, planning, monitoring, reporting, funding, and investment activities.
  • Helps formulate the function's technology architecture plan and models.
    • Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in the relevant IM or functional discipline
  • Certifications in relevant discipline. e.g. IT Service management (ITIL), PMP, TOGAF architecture method, membership of an industry body or chartered institute.
  • Ideally Business Analysis qualifications.
  • Ideally Project Management qualifications.
  • Strong evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.

    • Experience:

  • +5 years IM Project Lead /Development Lead experience
  • Experience working in a multinational, multi-cultural environment.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation expert.
  • Supplier / Contract management
  • Senior stakeholder engagement and management
  • Budget control
  • Extensive De Beers mining and diamond pipeline knowledge
  • Business case formulation, design, and delivery of global enterprise solutions.
  • Functional exposure to relevant applications and processes. Ideally Microsoft Azure (inc. Edge Stack) solutions
