    **Senior Broker Job Description**

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Broker to join our team in Somerset West.

    The purpose of this position is to sell rare coins and medallions within a retail environment, focusing on strong client service and the pursuit of new business opportunities.

    **Key Responsibilities:**

    • Sales:
    • Sell coins (rare & krugerrands) and medallions, meeting personal and store targets and standards.
    • Use a diagnostic and relationship selling approach to sell products to clients, following the Company's sales process.
    • Identify new business opportunities and clients through prospecting, networking, and other accepted sales mechanisms.
    • Review clients' collections, ensuring balance according to the Company's policies and standards.
    • Maintain regular contact with existing clients to build sustainable relationships.
    • Stay up-to-date with product, operational, economic, and political knowledge to effectively position the Company's product with clients.
    • Keep informed about pricing and product developments, with a focus on expert-level marketing pack information.
    • Handle cash, credit cards, bank transfers, and cheques in accordance with Company policies and regulations.
    • Provide excellent client service, including follow-up interactions to meet Company standards.

    Manning of a Store:

    • Maintain a clean and organized store, representing the Company's brand.
    • Provide customer service experiences that reflect the Company's brand during face-to-face, telephonic, and email interactions.
    • Ensure health and safety standards are always met, detecting and reporting security risks, and maintaining preventative measures for staff and visitors.

    Stock:

    • Perform stock counts as per procedures and standards.
    • Ensure stock policies and procedures are followed, with no shortcuts allowed.
    • Safeguard stock and cash, investigating losses and taking disciplinary action if necessary.
    • Display merchandise attractively and accurately in the store.

    Administration and Compliance:

    • Complete filing, general administration, and assist with store efficiency as required.
    • Adhere to relevant legislation and Company policies, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2nd Hand Goods Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), Occupational Health and Safety policies, and Trade Exchange Policy.
    • Capture information on the Company's CRM system, highlighting essential tasks such as capturing leads and opportunities.
    • Ensure transactions occur according to Company standards and procedures.

    General:

    • Safekeep Company assets and facilities.
    • Maintain a neat and tidy store, cleaning and tidying as necessary.
    • Wear a name badge while working in the store.
    • Follow operational policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Perform additional duties reasonably expected within the scope of the position.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Utilize quiet times to source information, phone potential clients, review customer collections, and update admin or compliance documents.
    • Exercise high awareness to detect and respond to fraudulent and suspicious behavior.

    Critical Success Factors:

    • Meet or exceed store and personal sales targets and minimum standards.
    • Represent the Company's brand through appearance, communication, and sales pitches.
    • Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating 'Know your Customer' and 'Above and Beyond' values.
    • Adhere to administrative and compliance policies, procedures, and standards.

    Reporting Line:

    This position reports to the relevant sales manager or nominated delegate.
