    Job Overview

    An accomplished leader with a passion for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry is sought after to fill the role of Assistant Manager.

    • Executing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
    • Mentoring and managing store staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Participating in the recruitment and selection process for new team members.
    • Administering disciplinary procedures according to company guidelines.
    • Handling leave forms and submitting documentation for payroll processing.
    • Collaborating on stock takes and inventory management.
    • Supporting purchasing and budgeting activities.
    • Maintaining high standards of customer service at all times.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee day-to-day store operations.
    • Mentor and develop store staff.
    • Participate in recruitment and selection processes.
    • Administer disciplinary procedures.
    • Handle leave forms and payroll documentation.
    • Contribute to stock takes and inventory management.

    Requirements

    • Matric certificate.
    • Proficiency in English.
    • At least 5 years of management experience in retail.
    • 10 years of experience in FMCG industry.
    • Experience working with large staff complements.
    • Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
