Operations Manager - Gauteng - Johannesburg (Hybrid)

Our client in Johannesburg is looking for an experienced

Operations Manager that is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong numeric, reporting and leadership skills, with a customer-centric and innovative mindset.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
  • Review and report back to the Head of Operations on the performance of the teams.
  • Collaborate with the department heads and BA to create programs for the improvement of
processes and systems, with the aims of: automation and digitalisation; cost reduction or revenue generation; enhanced client experience.

  • Overall support and assistance with the implementation of strategy and projects required from the Head of Operations.
  • Ensure department goals are monitored and met.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to the various teams under your purview.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a customercentric culture.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, insurance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, including managing teams and overseeing multiple departments.
  • Experience in the insurance industry ideal, but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of clientcentric operations, including retention, and customer service.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of professionals.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Excellent reporting skills, with the ability to gather information and succinctly present findings.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
