Description

Job Title: Product Economics Analyst

Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking

The ideal candidate will ensure the provision of product economics, performance tracking mechanisms, and analytics to actively mitigate revenue leakage or create revenue opportunities for VAF Global Products. They will define and provide guidance on product input and exit pricing as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze product profitability and understand lagging and leading indicators within the financial service industry.
Develop knowledge and understanding of Vehicle and Asset finance.
Conduct cost analysis, credit risk, income management, and capital management.
Prepare and monitor a risk appetite framework in alignment with the broader VAF strategy, in consultation with Credit.
Identify new revenue streams and product efficiencies to enable headline earnings growth.
Provide input and guidance on revenue leakage, revenue optimization, revenue mix, and performance metrics.
Offer consolidated oversight and insights of all initiatives undertaken.
Track and forecast revenue and costs to ensure alignment with budgeted expectations.
Drive product target setting (budgeting) at all iterations.
Monitor origination, closures, pre-payments, cross-sell, dormancy, usage, and product lifecycle trends and influences responsible functions by providing relevant insights.
Track actual product performance and provide guidance on tactical implementation to deliver desired results in the front line, driving lowest cost of delivery for product strategy.
Advise product management on key financial drivers that impact product economics, including economic profit, funding costs, and capital management.
Manage product portfolio financials and regulatory requirements.
Analyze and present emerging market trends and associated risks and opportunities.
The incumbent must have an in-depth understanding of VAF's product levers to manage shareholder value add.
Ensure front line adherence to product requirements in a decentralized model.
The incumbent must be able to handle a large degree of complexity and variation across Africa Regions, each with their own economic drivers, legislation, and targets.
Take into account continuous legislative changes.
The incumbent must exert significant influence in Africa Regions.

Requirements:
