Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the food services team, including supervising and managing all aspects of the deli division. This includes food preparation, service, and cleanliness, as well as developing and implementing menus that minimize wastage. The ideal candidate will have excellent culinary skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, and knowledge of inventory management and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of the deli division, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
• Develop and implement menus that incorporate perishable products into prepared or frozen meals, minimizing wastage.
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high operational standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed, ensuring cost control and minimizing wastage.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.

Requirements

• Culinary qualification or equivalent experience
• Food safety and hygiene certification (advantageous)
• Matric
• Valid driver's license

Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Work Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a food services environment
• Proven experience as a chef or cook, with strong culinary skills
