Electrical Maintenance Technician

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment to prevent downtime and optimize productivity.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to large moulding machines and other production equipment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery and equipment operate efficiently and effectively.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
• Provide support during machine setup and changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components used in the plastics manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum N3 qualification, be Trade Tested, and possess experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.
