Description

The main purpose:

To ensure that the property of the CTICC buildings are suitably maintained to a five-star standard and looked after daily.

Provide and/or ensure that there is suitable and appropriate planned, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance for all electrical and plant equipment.


Reporting to the:
Maintenance Manager


Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Installs, services and repairs lighting fixtures and electrical equipment
  • Routine maintenance and data recording for fault diagnosis, corrective and preventive maintenance, condition monitoring of electrical and electronic equipment
  • Maintain and improve BMS function and field devises attached to the electrical function
  • Identify all maintenance concerns and provide the line manager with regular written and/or verbal feedback as required
  • Installation of remote distribution boards for functions and events to comply with local regulation
  • Asset checking and updating record
  • Preventative maintenance updating and scheduling
  • Assisting with ISO auditing by proactively working through the buildings
  • Be required to work with the events team shifts
  • Respond to 24hour emergency callouts

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:


  • Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum N3 Certificate Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • National diploma in Electrical Engineering is an advantage (NQF 6)
  • 1 year experience in the maintenance environment
  • Must be willing to get trade tested in 3 years
  • Experience and knowledge of high voltage is an advantage
  • Experience in programmable logic controllers (PLC) is an advantage
  • Driver's License essential
