Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Tertiary qualification in either a business or chemistry or related field preferred but not essential.
  • Previous sales management experience is required for this role.
  • Must be computer literate with strong Excel skills to do costings and create sales reports and presentations.
  • Previous experience having worked within the chemical and or related industries is preferred for the role but not essential.
  • Maintaining and growing the companys footprint in the Southern African region.
  • Managing and driving a sales team to achieve their KPIs.
  • Managing and overseeing sales agencies.
  • Presenting monthly sales and project reports to the Directors.
  • Managing and overseeing top key accounts for the company.
  • Driving new business development with new and existing clients alongside the sales team.
  • Ensuring all customer requirements or special needs are communicated to the lab/plant and are delivered on time.
  • Working closely with the technical team to develop new products and provide input regarding the technical service and sales for new products.
  • Manage and oversee costing and pricing of all new product developments.
  • Manage and oversee price increase negotiations.
  • Managing biweekly sales project meetings with sales team to ensure sales meet KPIs.
  • Attending biweekly CMR/customer project meetings with Technical Manager and Laboratory Manager.
  • Work closely and align with General Manager, Lab Manager, Technical Manager on a weekly basis to ensure smooth customer service and be proactive to avoid potential issues.
  • Attending and exhibiting at local trade shows such as propak.
**Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
