Minimum requirements for the role:


  • A tertiary qualification in food science / food technology or related is preferred for the role.
  • Previous experience managing a sales team is essential.
  • Previous experience having worked within the food manufacturing or related industry is required.
  • Must have excellent people skills and abilitiy to drive a sales team.
  • Must have good organising and time management skills.
  • Mentoring developed of sales team.
  • Managing very senior key accounts for the company.
  • Planing sales calls to ensure a valueadded approach.
  • Building market share across all categories.
  • Driving and achieving, food Ingredients and meat casing volumes / budget together with the sales team.
  • Continuously building client relationships and ensure service effectiveness.
  • Interacting with sales team and senior management weekly with regards to sales reports.
  • Proactively looking for new business and market opportunities.
  • Managing sales administration and other duties as required.
  • Ensuring deliveries are carried out to company standards.
  • Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, feedback from field activity.
  • Generating ideas and implement special sales activities and innovative sessions.
  • Participating in demos, promotions and marketing events and evaluate the success thereof.
  • Compiling a variety of sales reports and sales feedback as required.
  • Conducting Sales analysis and reports.
  • Gathering Competitor analysis in the market.
  • Analysing and monitoring of Sales, market share, client categorisation and report back to management.
  • Work with Inland team to achieve company objectives.
  • Growing sales and market share.
  • Optimising sales and market share through client relationship management.
**Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
