As a Branch Accountant at gp-consult, your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing comprehensive financial reports and statements to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
Overseeing the control of fixed assets, Debtors, and Creditors, ensuring efficient management and minimizing financial risks.
Reconciling stock levels and implementing effective stock management strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce waste.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks through proactive risk management practices.
Ensuring strict expense control measures are in place to minimize unnecessary expenditures.
Preparing and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly journals to maintain accurate financial records and detect any discrepancies.
Conducting regular vehicle stock counts to prevent loss or theft.
Monitoring parts and workshop cash sales to identify areas for improvement and maximize revenue.
Overseeing branch financial activities to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Branch Accountant within the Motor Industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.
Proficiency in DMS Management System is essential, as you will be responsible for managing and maintaining this system.
A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCOM) with a specialization in Accounting.
A valid Code 8 driver's license, which will enable you to travel between branches and locations.

Package and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of R 30,000 - R 35,000 per month, plus medical aid and provident fund benefits.
