Description

The Jobholder is responsible for the technical introduction, installation and advancement of the South African market for JANSEN steel systems for windows, doors and facades.

The focus of the role is to provide clients with a system solution within our catalogue and provide pricing using our inhouse design and estimating software.

You will also provide several support functions to fabricators.

Customer Consulting

• Specialist and technical consulting to customer (architects, metalworkers, homeowners, contractors)
• Visiting metalworkers and maintaining relationships, as well as finding/onboarding new metalworkers to expand our customer base.
• Offering operations advice to metalworkers for optimization of product flows, in cooperation with our inhouse technical support team.
• Engage with collaborators (glass suppliers, coaters, etc) and connect value chains to support metalworkers.
• Development of technical construction proposals by using CAD drawing software, in cooperation with the Technical Support Jansen AG.
• Technical support and material calculations of customer's projects.

Design and Procurement

• Using our inhouse software, JANISOFT (similar to V6 / Starfront etc...) to model working fenestration objects within the guidelines of our system manuals
• Export the objects into various formats to produce shop drawings, material quotations, and procurement schedules.

Training

• Product presentations for architects and metalworkers.
• Teaching metalworkers to use Janisoft so that they can be independent customers.
• Support in creating training presentations and documents.

Auxiliary support and administration:

• Updating database with project leads and customers.
• Filing your project related work for the team to use and access.
• Support and presence at trade fairs, events etc.
• Organizing stock in warehouse/ stock take.

• Young to experienced working professional.
• Strong passion and interest in built environment industry
• Detail oriented and dependable to carry out work autonomously.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years working experience in manufacturing or the built environment Experience in the fenestration industry will be highly favoured.
• Proficiency in any CAD software and is familiar with estimating.
• Mobility to travel to the office, and occasionally sites or architectural practices.

Salary:
R19 000,00 - R24 000,00 per month
