Purpose:_
The purpose of this job is to ensure that the Brights Hardware Group including the Franchise Stores are supplied with the correct goods, marked, coded and packaged to marked to maximize the sales in such a manner which allows the Brights Hardware Group including the Franchise Stores to operate effective and efficiently in order to increase growth and profit margins.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure stock is identified accurately and 100% correct in accordance with the transfer page
  • Ensure stock is picked accurately
  • Ensure stock is picked with in specified time given by your Team Leader
  • Ensure stock is packed and marked with the correct branch identification
  • Ensure all boxes are sealed before it transported to the despatch area
  • Ensure all fragile or hazardous stock is marked/labelled with a fragile sticker/label
  • Report barcode and product discrepancies to your Team Leader
  • Report to your Team Leader when leaving the department e.g., break times, rest room breaks etc.
  • Assist with marking of unmarked stock from the supplier
  • Participate in daily, weekly stock cycle counts delegated by your Team Leader
  • Participate in perpetual / periodic stock takes or cycle counts
  • Ensure housekeeping of work area
  • Perform any workrelated tasks as delegated by superior

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Matric or Equivalent
  • 1 Year minimum experience in a similar role
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
  • Numerically skilled
  • Designated department knowledge
  • Product knowledge
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Internal stock system knowledge
