    Job Description

    To develop, lead and drive the strategy/direction of data-driven marketing practices for the Standard Bank Group, to unlock revenue and efficiency opportunities through effective digital marketing and analysis. To lead the Data-Driven Marketing Function that drives building digital and direct marketing, personalisation, performance marketing and digital media capabilities and manage all associated technologies.

    Qualifications:

  • A Post Graduate Degree in Quantitative Studies in required or Masters Degree Marketing Preferred.
  • Experience:

  • Effective management of a brand, ensuring the best public image of the organisation is seen. Experience in multiple industries and marketing in different African or other international countries would be advantageous. Required More than 10 years.
  • The role requires a seasoned, holistic entrepreneurial leader who is customer focused with proven organisational capability and profound knowledge of the full dimensions of the Brand and Marketing field, gained from a track record of 10 years or more in functional leadership who is capable of influencing outstanding leaders and a large body of employees. Experience in digital analytics, data management, data architecture and enablement, leading technology change platforms

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the business product owner of technologies and platforms within area of responsibility including (but not limited to) Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Marketing Platform and Digital Media buying platforms (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.). Adopt and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of team and capability.
  • Build a high performing team to ensure effective delivery of all strategic objectives for the team. Build digital and direct marketing, personalisation, performance marketing and digital media strategy, frameworks & processes to enable Marketing teams to deliver omni-channel, automated, personalised and effective marketing that drive business and customer value.
  • Build partnerships with Technology team members and stakeholders to refine and communicate overall product (tools) strategy. Collaborate and influence stakeholders across the segments, business, corporate functions and countries to ensure that services offered by the team are relevant and efficient. Collaborate closely with the other CoEs to integrate marketing data with customer data in the organisation to drive targeted, real time advertising and messaging through digital and non-digital channels. Collaborate with other COEs in the development and management of rules and processes ensuring compliance within parameters as agreed by legal, compliance and risk partners.
  • Create the capability for marketers to use digital and direct marketing, personalisation, performance marketing and digital media to execute highly relevant and contextual marketing and communications activities that enhance the customer experience, make more relevant and useful offers to existing and potential customers, enhance brand image, customer satisfaction and competitive advantage for the organisation. Define and drive the implementation of a consistent test and learn methodology for digital and direct marketing activities to unlock revenue and efficiency opportunities through effective digital marketing activities.
  • Define the current and future requirements for digital and direct marketing, personalisation, performance marketing and digital media technologies to support marketing, digital and e-commerce team and agencies. Define the data-driven marketing capability development strategy aligned to best practice for Brand & Marketing, Standard Bank Group and drive delivery of the strategy in both the short and long term.
