Function Description:
- Provides administrative assistance in a staff capacity to management by providing secretarial, clerical and office management support, across a range of diverse functions, which may include finance, human resources, information technology, planning, supply and other corporate services.

Family Description:
- Performs general clerical duties which may include data entry, typing, record keeping, records maintenance, photocopying, organizes office supplies and office equipment.
- Performs office service activities for a manufacturing or office facility including records maintenance, mail services, telecommunications, copier services and office machine operation.
- Arranges for purchases of office supplies and equipment.

- Directly supervises support employees (grades 1S7S)
- Directs the daytoday activities of a work group
- Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables

esponsibility Statements:
- Supervises office support employees by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and appraises job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adheres to local laws, policies and procedures.
- Coaches, trains and leads the office support team to provide high quality office support ensures employees adhere to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems, evaluates different requests/practices and provides best solutions.
- Plans and organizes clerical support activities; establishes procedures, practices, and work methods to increase work unit effectiveness and efficiency.
- Resolves problems, complaints and concerns related to the office support staff.
- Recommends internal and external recruitments, transfers, promotions, salary actions, budget recommendations, terminations and conducts performance appraisals; evaluates employee job performance and conformance to local laws, policies, regulations and procedures and recommends appropriate personnel action.
- Analyses and resolves problems; interprets policies and demonstrates solid knowledge of processes and protocols for budgets and funds.
- Implements and communicates work procedures, company or departmental policies and procedures and service standards to employees in conjunction with management.
- Approves orders and maintenance of office supplies for the department.
- Approves purchase orders, processes invoices and acts as the liaison between the company and vendors.
