    Technical Sales Specialist Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and driven Technical Sales Specialist to join our sales department at a global manufacturer prominent in the mining and exploration industries.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Sales Function:
      • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
      • Provide technical sales support to customers, focusing on geological aspects.
      • Respond promptly to customer requests and inquiries.
      • Maintain a strong and extensive customer base through effective relationship management.
      • C-coordinate packaging and shipping processes.
      • Follow up on sales leads to maximize conversion rates.
      • Create accurate sales documents and reports.
      • Achieve monthly sales targets through targeted efforts.
      • Develop and maintain sales forecasts.
      • Promote the company's professional image and products through active marketing initiatives.
      • Conduct site visits at customer locations across Africa to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
    • Administration:
      • Generate accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
      • Process customer orders efficiently and effectively.
      • Prepare and submit regular reports on market trends, customer activity, and relevant geographic factors.
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions.
    • Stakeholder Management:
      • Foster strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, senior management, business partners, service providers, and suppliers.

      Education and Experience Requirements:

      • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and/or Geology.
      • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical sales role.
      • Proficiency in French or Swahili is an added advantage.
