    Strong knowledge and understanding of internal audit, controls, governance, and compliance are required.

    The candidate must be able to document policies and procedures effectively.

    Detailed knowledge of general business functions and processes is necessary.

    General knowledge of risk management tools and techniques is required.

    Risk Management Responsibilities

    Manage and improve the risk management framework for the organization on an ongoing basis.

    Oversee and engage with internal stakeholders, making recommendations and implementing risk control actions.

    Monitor and evaluate the organization's success in managing its risks.

    Assist in identifying and updating major risks affecting the operational function within the organization.

    Guide the Business units in identifying their Key Risk Indicators.

    Monitor internal controls to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness.

    Provide administrative support to the Risk Management function.

    Support the Head of Risk Management in developing and updating risk management policies and procedures.

    Conduct research as required.

    Compile and submit reports timeously and accurately.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in maintaining a culture that emphasizes effective risk management.
    • Monitor and control the internal assessment process to ensure compliance.
    • Coach employees in using relevant operational risk management tools.
    • Conduct risk assessments of operational functions on an ongoing basis.
    • Conduct risk management training for internal stakeholders.
    • Involve in digitizing risk tools.
    • Involve in process risk management.
    • Promote risk awareness to prepare the organization for emerging risks.
    • Execute specific deep dives or investigations to better understand risks, problems, or incidents.

    Internal Audit Responsibilities

    • Contribute to potential reviews for inclusion in the annual audit plan.
    • Responsible for facilitation and completion of assigned internal audit function reviews.
    • Coordinate management responses across the organization for assigned reviews and reporting on findings.
    • Coordinate and manage organization resolution of previous findings and closure of findings that are still open.

    Combined Assurance Forums

    • Assist in preparing Combined Assurance Reports.
    • Support preparations activities for the annual plan and provide input in areas of responsibility.
    • Reporting of management assurance activities across the organization.
    • Drafting minutes of the Combined Assurance Forum meeting.

    Client Services

    • Ongoing relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Delivering effective and consistent service to stakeholders.
    • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service.
    • Facilitate presentations to customers, Strate staff, existing customers, potential customers, and stakeholders.
    • Perform solution demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to provide information clearly to new customers.

    Self-management and Teamwork

    • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, peers, and stakeholders.

    Financial Controls and Planning

    • Identify and recommend data solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Provide input into the risk identification and communicate recommendations to appropriate teams/leadership.
