    Description

    Job Title

    We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Manager to join our team at {company}. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of our dairy farm.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement effective dairy farm management strategies to optimize milk production and ensure animal health and well-being.
    • Manage a team of staff to maintain high standards of animal care, pasture management, and farm maintenance.
    • Monitor and control feed costs, milking equipment, and other expenses to meet budget requirements.
    • Collaborate with veterinarians and agronomists to develop and implement integrated pest management and disease prevention programs.
    • Implement data-driven decision making through the use of computer software and systems.

    Requirements:

    • Agricultural Diploma or Degree highly advantageous.
    • Minimum 5-8 years dairy farm management experience.
    • At least 3 years previous pasture management experience.
    • Dairy Management experience is essential.
    • Computer literate.
    • Great stockmanship.
    • Strong record of management skills.
    • Hard-working, deadline-driven, diligent.
    • Maintenance orientated advantageous.
    • Ability to speak Xhosa an advantage.
    • Valid drivers license.

    Salary Range:

    R500,000 - R700,000 per annum.
