Project Coordinator (FIND Research Project)


Annual Salary (based on

qualifications) : R258,53- R348,107***
Location :FPD Research Unit,
East London


Reporting to :
Research Manager***
Purpose of the position:To assist with implementation of the FIND research project at the PHC/CHC facility through staff
management, ensuring sufficient study materials, data management and adherence to protocol.

**Main responsibilities: - Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures.***- Assist with compiling study documents.***- Assist in the development and facilitation of training.

  • Ensure Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance.**
  • Ensure protocol compliance.**
  • Conduct quality checks on data collected.
  • Manage study staff and coordinate all study activities.**
  • Prepare progress reports for the PI and Department of Health.**
  • Reporting of any challenges or progress within the study.
  • Liaise with facility managers for all study related events.
  • Participate in all study meetings and skills development meetings.
  • Support sourcing and procurement of all study materials.
  • To effectively manage all study material.**
  • To maintain confidentiality always.
  • To perform any reasonable other study duty as requested by the Research manager.**
    Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification (diploma / degree) in Community development, Social Work, Social
Science, Psychology, Social Development or related.

  • Degree in public health (advantageous).
  • Good Clinical Practice certificate (advantageous).
  • Diploma or degree in research methodology (advantageous).

Job-related experience:


  • Experience in clinical research.
  • Experience in data collection and management of study documentation.
  • Minimum of 12 year in project coordination and staff management.
  • Experience in public health sector (advantageous)

Additional requirements:


  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing Xhosa and English.
  • Proficiency in another local language/s will be advantageous.
  • Valid code 08 driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills.
