RCL Foods is seeking a
Fitter and Turner to join our
Milling Division based in
Pretoria West.

The primary objective of the role is to ensure that all manufacturing equipment is serviced and maintained according to specifications and in line with good engineering practices.

The individual will need the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Adhere to preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance requirements. Proactively raise and address maintenance concerns within area of responsibility.
Be able to comply with Food safety standards, and previous FMCG experience will be an advantage.
Diagnose and correct mechanical problems.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Record maintenance and repair work performed.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, mechanical equipment.
Assemble, install and / or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment on steam and waterlines.
Doing fault finding on mechanical equipment.
Ensure all routine inspections are carried out daily.
Adhoc assistance as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Fitter and Turner trade test/ Fitter and Turner with Millwright dual trade

N3 and above would be an advantage.

Proof of the successful completion of a formal Institutionalised Training Programme is essential
Milling work experience of 5 years and above will be an advantage.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Computer Literacy
Basic electrical experience will be an advantage.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Leadership of self and others.
Mentoring apprentices and artisan assistants.
Ability to work systemically.
