    Registered Nurse Opportunity at a Well Known Private Hospital Group

    This private hospital group requires a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team in Johannesburg South.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Hold Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
    2. Possess a matric qualification.
    3. Bring relevant experience in a Medical Unit setting.
    4. Maintain Compulsory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    5. Display Advanced Computer Literacy skills.
    6. Show flexibility in working hours and shifts.
    7. Implement and maintain standards of health practice required by accredited bodies and health legislation.
    8. Render and promote cost-effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies.
    9. Assume total responsibility for direct and/or indirect nursing care of patients, including assessing, planning, executing, and supervising care to meet patient needs.
    10. Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice.
    11. Contribute to the holistic care of patients.
    12. Attend handover of report at shift commencement.
    13. Recognize life-threatening situations.
    14. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
    15. Promote patients' health and wellbeing.
    16. Provide a detailed handover to the ward's sister.
    17. Audit health records to ensure compliance.
    18. Ensure accurate control and management of stock, including charging and crediting appropriately.
    19. Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives, and visitors.
