Account Executive - Agency Sales

JOB SUMMARY:


The Account Executive for Agency Sales is responsible for maximizing advertising spend with the company through allocated advertising agencies within their portfolio.

This role involves building solid relationships with key stakeholders, influencing advertising spend strategically, and identifying opportunities for integrating the company products within broader media strategies.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maximize advertising spend from allocated Ad Agencies within the portfolio.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales targets.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within agencies, including all buying influencers.
  • Develop and nurture client relationships within the Advertising Agency Community.
  • Influence advertising spend through proactive and strategic approaches within agencies and their clients.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for integrating the company products within the broader media strategy.

DUTIES:


  • Identify and respond to client briefs and pitches within the allocated agencies.
  • Proactively present OutofHome (OoH) solutions to all clients within the portfolio.
  • Address budget shortfalls with strategic solutions.
  • Present existing and new business development opportunities as directed by the management team.
  • Collaborate with production and flighting management to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
  • Manage annual rate negotiations and renewals.
  • Deliver presentations at all levels.
  • Act as an ambassador and role model for company the company.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the Advertising Agency Environment.
  • Experience in the Advertising and Media Industry is a prerequisite.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and make strategic sales decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, team members, and senior management.
  • Ability to present to clients at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel).

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:


  • Develop relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Support the management team to identify opportunities for maximizing ad spend.
  • Attend regular team meetings and address issues raised by acting upon meeting minutes.
  • Achieve quarterly KPIs set by the Sales Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:


  • Professional and strong communicator, both written and spoken, with good presentation skills.
  • Innovative, selfmotivated, and good at time management.
  • Proactive, independent, and energetic individual.
  • Possession of a clean, current, full driving license.

HOURS:

Full-time, 8:30-17:00.

Office location:
Johannesburg.


DEPARTMENT STRUCTURE:

Reports to Divisional Sales Manager.

Pay:
From R40 000,00 per month
