Description

Are you passionate about transforming the tech industry and making it more inclusive?
If you answered yes, then you might be interested in a position at Life Choices Academy.

We are a non-profit organisation that founded its Academy program in 2017 with the goal of equalising the skills gap in South Africa.

We do this by providing coding boot camps to youth from underprivileged backgrounds.

Our boot camps are 12 months long and consist of a 6-month in-house training followed by a 6-month internship in the industry.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn coding skills, regardless of their background.

About the role
Our program and team offer a unique learning experience combining technical coding skills with soft skills and professional development. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about helping young people start a career in technology.

You must also be committed to improving the quality of coding education, and be highly motivated to see your students succeed.

As a lecturer at Life Choices Academy's coding program, you will be a key part of our team and help define what we are and what we do.

You will be part of the delivery team that implements face-to-face coding education at our physical campus in Lansdowne, Cape Town.

You will support our learners by guiding them on course content, holding group lectures, helping solve student queries, and providing quality feedback on students' code on a daily basis.

You will also be part of a team that is aiming to build the most effective code-learning experience in South Africa.

Additionally, you will assist the organization in growing the program into a more digital space, which will allow us to deliver a higher-quality experience and grow our reach and impact.
