Senior Manager:
Risk Reporting
Job Purpose
- To report the credit life cycle through various reports and meeting packs that will enable adequate review and oversight to optimise the credit portfolio quality in line with Nedbank's strategic objectives
Responsibilities:
Data and Reporting
- Provide stakeholder satisfaction by coordinating and delivering required reports and meetings packs according to service level agreements.
- Monitor quality and achievement of optimum reporting standards by reconciliation, logicchecks, and usertesting of outputs.
- Optimise risk reporting by reviewing production, aggregating processes, identifying bottlenecks, making recommendations, and implementing enhancements to improve data management and reporting.
- Coordinate and manage development of suitable reports or tools as and when required by the business.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement and Management
- Improve team efficiency and productivity through effective collaboration with critical stakeholders and/or business partners continuously.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders by setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.
Team Management and Development
- Foster an environment where staff feel motivated to and contribute to the success of the business through information sharing and participation in decision making processes.
- Maintain a high performing and capable team and ensure alignment with the Nedbank Vision and Values by identifying and developing talent pool through career conversations, talent grid principles and retention programmes, leading by example and reinforcing values during meetings.
- Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations of stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identification of current and future training and development needs.
- Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge.
- Minimum Experience Level
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, and quality assurance, preferably in the banking or financial sector
Years' Management Reporting experience and the develop and maintain reports and tools that meet the needs and expectations of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Min 2 years' leadership, management, and coaching skills to lead and develop a team and ensure alignment with the organisational vision and values.
- SQL, SAS, Power BI or other data analysis and visualisation tools would be an advantage
- Must be proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoints
- Experience within a Deadline Driven environment a must.
Qualification
- A bachelor's degree or higher in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
