Food and Beverage Supervisor

Our client in the Hospitality industry is seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities, maintain high-quality standards, and foster a positive team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Effectively handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly.
Assist with rostering, taking into account forecast, wage cost, staff requests, and other factors to ensure optimal staffing levels.
Evaluate and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet service requirements.
Maintain beverage costs within budget by monitoring inventory and implementing cost-saving measures.
Report any equipment shortages or maintenance needs to management promptly.
Conduct comprehensive staff training, including induction, product knowledge, and performance improvement strategies.
Counsel staff members who are not meeting outlet standards, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
Participate actively in meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
In the absence of the Manager, take charge of the outlet/area and make informed decisions to ensure seamless operations.
Coordinate daily stock ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Display flexibility and adaptability when working in various F&B areas.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Possess a degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related field.
Hold supervisory or managerial experience in an F&B department, preferably in a four-star hotel setting.
Demonstrate expertise in rostering, staff scheduling, and managing staffing levels to achieve business objectives.
Show ability to manage beverage costs effectively within budget constraints.
Develop and implement comprehensive staff training programs, including induction, product knowledge, and performance improvement strategies.
Exhibit leadership skills, capable of taking charge in the absence of the Manager, making informed decisions, and leading a team.
Demonstrate effective communication skills in meetings and interactions with the team.
Show willingness to work in all F&B areas, adapting to changing demands and priorities.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive business growth and excellence.
