    Description

    Our client, a provider of cloud-based accounting and business solutions for retail, online and service business within a wide range of looking for a Bookkeeper to join their small, but dynamic team in Stellenbosch

    Requirements

    • Matric
    • Comm or Similar Degree (minimum) or B. Comm Hons
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Xero, Dext, Draftworx / Caseware
    • Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience
    • Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
    • Good communication skills
    • Valid drivers licence

    Responsibilities

    • Daily processing of financial and bank transactions (capture, update, maintain, journals)
    • Assist with tax calculations and submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax).
    • Debtor and creditor processing
    • Monitor debtors' balances and review invoices
    • Performance of supplier management
    • Processing of journals
    • Maintain fixed asset registers (calculating and updating depreciation schedules, ensuring the registers are complete and accurate)
    • Payroll function (wages and salaries), including submission of EMP related information on a monthly and bi-annual basis
    • Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts
