    Description

    Purpose of the role:

    • Lead and manage sales team activities to achieve projected revenue targets in specific market segments.

    Duties include:

    • Responsibility for all sales activities within defined segments.
    • Direct management of the Sales team in specified segments.
    • Developing methods to gather and report market intelligence related to defined segments.
    • Establishing and reviewing sales budgets and forecasts for defined segments.
    • Developing a strategy to grow our share of the defined market segments.
    • Defining KPIs for the Sales team to translate strategy into action plans.
    • Quarterly review of performance management systems and KPIs for team members.
    • Creating development plans for team members and initiating training as needed.
    • Maintaining and managing the discipline of the sales team.
    • Fostering customer relationships, providing excellent service levels, and growing our market share through continuous customer interaction.
    • Full accountability for sales expenses.
    • Timely notification to Management of any issues impacting Trident Steel's operations, such as market conditions or financial/labor issues.
    • Establishing and maintaining ad-hoc pricing tactics with the sales teams and required controls to ensure effective implementation.
    • Maintaining and strengthening internal interactions with various divisions to meet and exceed customers' expectations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3-year tertiary qualification relevant to the position.
    • Minimum 10 years of work experience, preferably with at least 5 years in a Sales Management position.
    • Experience in the steel/automotive industry is required.
    • Working knowledge of plate, structural, tube, specialty steel, and Automotive products is necessary.
