Are you ready for an exceptional opportunity in the field of Marketing and Sales? We are seeking a talented Sales Manager to lead our dynamic team and drive sales success in the Energy Industries Local Division.

Main Accountabilities:

Sales Strategy:


As a visionary sales leader, you will create, plan, and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with our local and global objectives.

By leveraging strategic sales and business development initiatives, you will drive sales efficiency and achieve targets across the
Power, Water, Oil and Gas, and Petrochemicals industries, encompassing both the Systems and Service domains.

Sales Targets:

You will establish ambitious sales targets and take full responsibility for their achievement. Through regular oversight and the implementation of improvement plans, you will drive sales performance. Your involvement in key pursuits will be pivotal and will contribute significantly to your success as a major KPI.

Customer Acquisition:

Identifying opportunities among existing and potential customers in the Sub-Saharan region will be crucial. Your expertise will enable you to determine acquisition plans and allocate resources effectively to maximize growth potential.

Information Sharing:

You will be the central hub for coordinating the flow of sales-related information, including leads, orders, contracts, and more. By evaluating data and market intelligence, you will ensure the attainment of our goals. Regular reporting to the Marketing and Sales organization will be a key aspect of this role.

Customer Relations:

Nurturing strong relationships with key customers will be a priority. Your ability to build and maintain rapport with key decision-makers will contribute to our overall success. Additionally, you will play a vital role in fostering efficient marketing communications.

Volume, Profit, and Cost:

Ensuring sales volume achievement will be one of your core responsibilities. You will set appropriate sales prices and margins for all sales proposals, and actively participate in negotiating key contracts. Ongoing cost management will also fall under your purview.

Channel Management:

Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for growing our automation channel partner business will be a critical objective. You will identify and onboard potential partners in the Sub-Saharan region, expanding our reach and enhancing our market presence.

Risk Management:


You will monitor the financial status of our clients and promptly report any changes or risks to the relevant internal partner teams.

Your keen eye for identifying and managing potential risks in contract agreements across customers and channels will ensure the stability of our operations.

Sales Process:

Taking ownership of the sales processes will be paramount.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs for the sales team members.

People Leadership and Development:


With support from the HR Manager, you will ensure that your area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.

Coaching, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies will be key. You will also foster know-how sharing and cross-collaboration among team members.


Formal Qualifications and Experience:


  • A formal Electrical Engineering tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of Electrical and Automation Systems/Projects Sales Experience
  • Project or sales experience within the power, water, and oil and gas industries
  • 3 years of sales management experience
