    Description

    Hire Resolve's client is urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Millwright in Johannesburg to join their prestigious team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in their state-of-the-art facility. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their manufacturing processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes
    • Repair or replace faulty components and parts
    • Install, align, and set up new machinery
    • Follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
    • Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes

    Requirements

    • Experience with Cut-to-Length Processing Lines: You'll be working on a machine that cuts materials to specific lengths.
    • Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs: You should be familiar with a type of industrial computer system (PLC) commonly used in factories, specifically the Siemens S7 model.
    • Steel Industry Background (Preferred): While not mandatory, experience working with steel would be a plus.
    • 5+ Years of Experience: We're looking for someone with a solid track record in this field.
    • Millwright Trade Certificate: You'll need a formal qualification showing your competency in installing and maintaining machinery.
    • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
    • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
    • Meticulous attention to detail and precision
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting
    • Adaptable to rotating shifts, if necessary
