My client is seeking a Brand Manager for their skincare marketing range. We require a Marketing degree (IMM) and at least 3 years brand management experience in FMCG. Must have own car and drivers licence.

_The position required covering niche personal care brands and the potential to grow a mainstream brand_:

  • Required to be passionate, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic
  • Responsible for creating and implementing brand marketing strategies, with coaching and oversight by the marketing team and leader
  • Responsible for executing plans
  • Employ innovation in products and processes in order to achieve a competitive advantage
  • Report and analyze brand performance in a clear, concise manner with a focus on required actions, demonstrating an understanding of brand issues, passion for brand and market opportunities
  • Brand Strategy: Have an indepth understanding of the Brand Strategy, and be the major architect of the evolution of the strategy over time. Ensure that the Brand Strategy document is reviewed annually (usually in July), with relevant members of senior management present at the review. Any changes agreed upon at the review meeting must be recorded in an updated Brand Strategy document, using the standard companyapproved format, and properly communicated to the relevant parties.
  • Brand Plans and Budgets: Following the annual review of the Brand Strategy, the brand plan for the following calendar year must be prepared, using the standard Brand Plan format, and presented to senior management. Once management has approved the Brand Plan in principle, it forms the preliminary basis of the brand's financial budget for the following calendar year. If the final approved budget numbers are different from the Brand Plan, the Brand Plan must be adjusted to reflect the same numbers as the approved budget.
  • Ability to manage brands with limited budgets yet develops optimal marketing activities and results
  • New Product Launches: Responsible for conceptualizing, motivating, and managing the introduction of new products, line extensions, and product improvements. The standard New Product Launch (NPL) process must be followed in this regard.
