    Description

    Job Title: Manager – Applications (Regional)

    Tronox is seeking a seasoned IT professional to lead the management of our application portfolio. As a Manager – Applications (Regional), you will be responsible for overseeing the support and projects related to Manufacturing and Legacy Applications in the region, building strong relationships with stakeholders, managing a team, and ensuring the quality of service.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Be the central point of contact between Operations and IT for Manufacturing and Legacy Applications in the region.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enable effective dialogue exchange between departments.
    • Manage the Manufacturing and Legacy Applications team.
    • Work with Operations to agree on the Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and the support model.
    • Manage contracts for software licenses and maintenance support for regional applications.
    • Deliver agreed enhancements following the IT Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Change Management process.
    • Review and provide a roadmap for legacy applications modernization and rationalization.
    • Design and present new solutions to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for approval.
    • Anticipating and mitigating risks, identifying improvement opportunities.
    • Provide progress and status reports at regular intervals to stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ Years of IT Applications or Operation Technology (OT) Applications management experience.
    • 10+ Years of IT Applications Development experience in various languages.
    • Experience in digital transformation projects.
    • Proficient in Process Control Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and historian systems.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or equivalent.
    • Excellent communication skills and relationship building abilities.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) S4 or ECC6.
    • Experience with Cloud based architectures, Microsoft Azure preferred.
    • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and systems design.
    • Able to work in a matrix organization.
    • Has worked for a multinational company and is able to work effectively with different cultures.

    Location: South Africa – Saldanha Smelter or KZN Central Processing Center (CPC)

    Estimated Salary: R1 200 000 - R1 500 000 per annum
