    Description

    A global private equity firm that specialises in secondary investments, is looking for an Enterprise Risk Associate to join their growing team in Cape Town.

    The Enterprise Risk Associate will play a vital role in a dynamic and pioneering international business, supporting the Legal, Compliance, and Governance team as well as the wider Business Operations team. Responsibilities will include regulatory reporting, third-party management, maintenance of the risk register, and conducting necessary anti-money laundering checks.

    The role of the Enterprise Risk Associate requires a confident, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively with global team members, and ensure successful contributions and fulfilment of responsibilities.

    Key qualifications and experience required for theEnterprise Risk Associate:

    • Risk Professional - NB
    • Fully Qualified Accountant (i.e., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA)
    • Min. of 3 years' experience working in a finance team or internal audit team
    • Background in Banking or Asset Management is highly preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages

    Key duties of the Enterprise Risk Associate:

    • Third-party management and procedures:
      • Oversee Third-Party/Vendor Management process and act as SME for relationship owners
      • Ensure centralised tracking of all vendors and compliance with policies and procedures
      • Support implementation of group-wide third-party risk management system
    • Risk Management activities:
      • Prepare firm-wide quarterly risk monitoring reports and review fund-level risk reports
      • Maintain risk register, update it with new risks and document mitigation plans
      • Assist in onboarding relevant departments to the group-wide risk management system
      • Track all risk activities in accordance with group policies
    • Regulatory reporting activities as required by the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (full training provided)
    • Assist Compliance team with anti-money laundering data and checks
    • Support ad hoc projects across the Business Operations team as needed

    • Demonstrates a "can-do" attitude, takes ownership and accountability for tasks
    • Quick learner who works independently with appropriate oversight, possesses strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
