Minimum requirements

Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent

Must speak, read, write, and understand English at a professional level Computer literate.


Expereince: 3-5 year's working experience in hospitality

Opera knowledge (or similar PMS) (advantageous)


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Property and Product Knowledge of all products and brands within the Village n Life group, but with a focus on selected Airbnb properties.
  • Product knowledge is a responsibility not a function.
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Understanding of target audiences for the property/brand and tapping into the Hermanus community to build the business.
  • Support the creative thinking on development of new products and offerings.
  • Play a key role in the improvement and maintenance of standards within all allocated properties.

Customer Service

  • Assist with general enquiries with a "can do" attitude.
  • Maintain relationships to ensure top of mind awareness.
  • Exceptional customer care and service delivery
  • Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints.
  • Clear understanding of all customer related departments.

Operations:


  • Manage the daytoday operations of Housekeeping and Maintenance alongside the relevant department heads.
  • Maintain and enhance the product to ensure a superior product is always delivered to our guests.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement to the overall product offering Upper Management.
  • Review and implement approved standard operating procedures with guest comfort always top of mind.

Sales and Reservations

  • Promote and Sell the products and services using upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Processing of reservations
  • Follow ups on enquiries and leads.
  • Compiling quotations and invoices accurately
  • Assist with booking of additional services, including spa treatments, restaurant reservations and activity bookings details to appear on correspondence and PMS accurately.
  • Record special billing arrangements for reservations in all business segments.
  • All reservation details: special requests, arrival times, value adds etc to appear on correspondence accurately and in PMS properties to be aware of guest's special requests to meet and exceed guests' expectations.
  • All Village n Life standard operating procedures and policies to be followed and adhered to

Administration

  • Maintain sales records across all marketing efforts:
  • Keeping record of success rate, revenue achieved and notes for future reference.
  • Researching, creating, and maintaining proactive guest lists and databases.
  • Control and record keeping of related sales activities.

Marketing

  • Brainstorm marketing campaigns for the products/brands
  • Create job bags for marketing and production team, providing all sales information accurately.
  • Assist with content creation and maintenance on various relevant channels.

Other

  • Able to work shifts according to operational requirements.
