    Job Description

    A key role exists within our organization for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for managing credit risk.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze new credit requests to identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring that they align with our portfolio's acceptable thresholds.
    • Conduct regular reviews of existing credit exposures and prepare detailed assessments, including ratings and Loss Given Default (LGD) evaluations.
    • Present findings and recommendations to the credit committee for informed decision-making.
    • Monitor ongoing risks and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues, thereby protecting our shareholders' portfolios.
    • Calculate and report on impairments quarterly as part of the watchlist process, providing critical insights to stakeholders.
    • Draft and present comprehensive memoranda to the Financial Market Risk Forum, outlining policy decisions and project updates.
    • Prepare reports and recommendations for the Financial Market Risk Forum, encompassing various aspects of credit risk management.
    • Engage in client meetings to foster strong relationships and deliver exceptional service, leveraging effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor of Commerce degree (Hons) with a major in Finance or a related field.
    • Advantageous qualifications: Certified Accounting (SA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent certification.
    • Minimum 13 years of experience in credit risk analysis, with exposure to corporate and public sector credit risk. Experience in workouts and project finance is highly desirable.
