    Minimum requirements

    • High School Diploma or higher
    • Minimum 3-year experience as in a similar position.
    • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
    • Excellent verbal communication skills

    • Working days Mondays to Saturday, one Saturday off per month
    • Computer Literate
    • Honest, reliable and presentable at all times

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Risk management on and off site.
    • Daily route planning and briefing of drivers on most economical routes to be taken.
    • Communicate with All Personnel to ensure Smooth Running of Loading and Offloading of Trucks.
    • Ensure timely delivery of our products
    • Communicator between Driver & Client and address any issues on site with Customer and or Driver
    • Liaise with Drivers to address any problems that may arise with deliveries
    • Physically checking any items returned before requesting credit notes to be passed
    • Do physical truck inspections to determine preventative maintenance, repairs and damages, determine if damages were abuse and take disciplinary steps against driver if damage was caused through abuse.
    • Monitor driver abuse, wear and tear, tyre usage and take necessary preventative actions.
    • Monitor the fleet's diesel consumptions.
    • Attend to Breakdowns, and Accidents, put alternative plans in action to ensure delivery takes place to Customer with minimum inconvenience to Customer.
    • Chair weekly toolbox talks with team, give team advice and motivate team, address any concerns or problems that may arise.
    • Collaborate and communicate information related to shipments with relevant internal teams and customers.
    • Live monitoring of Fleet.
    • Driver training and Onboarding
    • On 24 hours standby for drivers and in-case of an accident
    • Weekly Debriefing of Staff
    • Enforce discipline and take disciplinary action against staff when needed.
    • Keeping Premises neat and Clean by delegating, and ensure that yard is secured.
    • Prepare and review drivers incentives monthly.
    • Present weekly and monthly reports to Managers and Directors.
    • Ad hoc duties

    Salary between R20 000 – R30 000 per month TCTC, depending on experience. Company offers medical aid and pension.
