    Description

    Expert Fire Specialist

    We are seeking a skilled fire specialist to join our team at Communicate Engineering. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of efficient fire systems, provide fire risk consulting services, and deliver top-notch fire suppression and detection services.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct thorough site inspections to assess and analyze fire safety measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    2. Collaborate closely with clients to address their specific fire safety needs and concerns, providing expert advice and guidance.
    3. Design and calculate hydraulic systems, integrating cutting-edge technology for enhanced fire suppression capabilities.
    4. Prepare detailed and comprehensive fire reports summarizing findings and recommendations, highlighting key areas for improvement.
    5. Implement rational fire designs based on industry standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency in fire prevention.
    6. Develop innovative sprinkler designs, leveraging expertise in AutoCAD and sprinkler design regulations.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    1. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a consulting environment, preferably in fire safety or related field.
    2. A strong understanding of SANS 10400T codes and familiarity with fire escape regulations.
    3. Proficiency in sprinkler design and regulations, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD.
    4. A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, such as BEng/BSc/BTech.
    5. South African residency or a valid work permit is required.

    Key Qualification:

    BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
