    **Electrical Engineer Role**

    Job Summary

    The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa. They will have experience in heavy current Electrical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Design and Project Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Design Development: Develop and implement electrical designs and systems for heavy current applications.
    • Project Management: Manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
    • Technical Evaluation: Conduct technical evaluations and provide solutions for complex engineering challenges.
    • Documentation: Prepare detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations.
    • Progress Oversight: Oversee project progress and ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align project goals and deliverables.
    • Inspection: Perform on-site inspections to assess project execution and address any issues.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and professional engineering standards.
    • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and junior engineers.
    • Communication: Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure project success.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
    • Experience in heavy current Electrical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Design and Project Management
    • Proficiency in engineering tools and software such as Retic Master, PowerOffice, Bentley MicroStation, DigSilent, Dialux etc.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, MS projects included
    • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with exceptional attention to detail
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
    • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment
    • A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to project sites as needed
