A software development house based in Kloof (KZN) is seeking the services of an Account Manager. Prior experience in an IT services environment is beneficial.


Job Description:


Duties include, but not limited to:

  • The employee is responsible for:
  • Being the point of contact for the customer, liaising with the customer and company to ensure that:
  • Customer is delighted
  • We develop long term partnerships
  • We increase revenue earning potential of the customer
  • Coordinate and escalate issues within Company to resolve issues so that the customer is delighted and Company's revenue and reputation is not compromised.
  • Regularly feedback to Company and to the customer so that we understand and are aware of how the customer's business is changing
  • The customer is aware of Company's new offerings and valueadded services and products
  • Proactively grow business relationships and sales in line with overall sales strategy by: Planning, coordinating and implementing customer specific marketing strategies, actions and promotions, with the sales and marketing team
  • Implement plans to maximise business opportunities with each customer
  • Contribute to the creation of the employer's intellectual property.
  • The employee is accountable for Lead generation and opportunity qualification.
  • Engaging with customers on a transactional, tactical basis by engaging qualified opportunities early in the sales process
  • Developing and winning proposals so that The value proposition is clear
  • The customer receives a quotation within the service delivery standards, which is 5 working days
  • Company wins the business without putting Company at risk
  • Creating, maintaining, renewing and growing service level agreements by upselling, cross selling and hunting for Company's business
  • Forecasting and committing to revenue targets as defined with or by the Company Management Team

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 3 years sales experience as an Account Manager
  • A strong Sales focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
