    Introduction

    We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team at Woolworths. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and translating business requirements into quality system solutions, ensuring optimal system performance and stability through support and continuous improvement.

    • Analyse current systems solutions and business requirements.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' IT degree/diploma and 3-5 years' relevant IT experience. They will also possess strong technical and functional competencies, including SQL and relational database knowledge, system integration formats, and SDLC and testing methodology knowledge.

    • Design new or enhanced systems to accommodate business needs.

    The successful candidate will work closely with the business and IT teams to integrate solutions and provide operational support. They will also create and maintain documentation, develop and maintain all relevant SDLC documentation, and document, publish and maintain system design and interfaces with other systems.

    • Create and maintain documentation.

    The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research technology-related concepts, trends and best practices, and apply findings. The ideal candidate will also be able to work independently on less complex projects and improvements, and take ownership, accountability and be self-motivated.

    • Collaborate with and support ITS and the Business.

    The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain knowledge/understanding and be aware of and responsive to internal and external events and influences on the technical landscape. They will also be able to prepare clear, well-structured presentations using a variety of tools and techniques, and prepare written reports and briefs and communicate ideas clearly.
