Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Chartered Accountant with at minimum of 5 years' practical experience
Strong experience with auditing processes and procedures is essential.
A high level of organizational and planning skills as well as problemsolving and analytical skills
Welldeveloped interpersonal and teambuilding skills are essential
An understanding of the needs of an educational environment, particularly the provisions and requirements of the South African Schools Act will be a distinct advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:

This senior leadership position includes the following:

Management of the finances and accounting systems of this 130 year old public school.
Responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all accountingrelated data within the school.
Providing leadership to the finance department.
Management of the school's budget processes.
Creation and maintenance of a strategic financial plan that will address the trends and requirements of the schools development plan.
A member of the school's Leadership Team with regular updates to the School Governing Body and its committees as required.
Act as a cotutor in the schools Vertical Tutoring System
