Job Summary:
We are seeking ambitious young graduates to join our local travel agency as Payments Associates.

As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless payment processes and financial transactions within our agency.

Responsibilities:


  • Process and reconcile payments received from clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and maintain financial records of transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, liaising with clients and resolving any payment discrepancies or issues.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure proper allocation of payments and adherence to accounting procedures.
  • Handle refund requests and process reimbursements, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
  • Utilize payment platforms and software to facilitate transactions, ensuring data security and compliance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing payment-related inquiries and resolving any payment-related issues.
  • Stay updated on payment industry trends, regulations, and best practices, implementing necessary changes or improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payment-related processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to streamline payment processes and enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience or internships in payments processing, accounting, finance, or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of payment processing principles, practices, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using payment platforms, financial software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payments and financial data.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with clients.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving payment-related issues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong ethics and integrity when handling sensitive financial information.

Salary:
From R4,500.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sandton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
