Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic team at Intellistor.

As a Senior IT Technician in our label solution company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of label printing equipment, software, and related IT systems.

Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional label solutions to our valued customers.


Primary responsibilities
1.


Technical Support:
Provide technical support to customers, both remotely and on
- site, to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to label printing equipment, software, and systems.

2.


Installation and Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain label printing equipment, including printers, label applicators, and related hardware and software components.

3.


Quality Control:
Ensure that label printing equipment and systems are calibrated, aligned, and functioning correctly to produce high-quality labels consistently.

4.


Training:
Train customers and junior technicians on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of label printing equipment and software.

5.


Problem Solving:

Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to label printing equipment, software, and systems in a timely manner to minimize downtime for customers.

6.


Equipment Upgrades:
Perform upgrades and updates to label printing software, firmware, and hardware components to improve performance and functionality.

7.


Workflow Optimization:
Collaborate with customers to optimize label printing workflows, improve efficiency, and identify areas for automation.

8.


Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, maintenance activities, and customer interactions for future reference.

9.


Product Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date with the latest label printing technologies, trends, and industry developments to provide informed recommendations to customers.

10.


Collaboration:
Work closely with sales teams to provide technical expertise and support during pre-sales and post-sales activities.

11.


Troubleshooting:
Analyse and troubleshoot complex technical issues that may arise in label printing processes, software integrations, and hardware interactions.

12.


Field Service:
Travel to customer sites when necessary to perform on-site installations, maintenance, repairs, and training sessions.

13.


Customer Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with customers regarding service schedules, updates, and issue resolutions.

15.


Feedback and Improvement:
Provide feedback to the product development team on common technical issues, potential improvements, and customer needs.


Salary:
From R15,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Diploma (required)

Experience:

• IT

Technical Support: 5 years (required)


License/Certification:

• Drivers License (required)
