Description
We are looking for an effective Warehouse Storeman to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of products.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilisation
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Storeman
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Forklift licence is essential.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
R10, R15,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Warehouse: 3 years (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (required)
