Fleet Controller - Pietermaritzburg, South Africa - HR Solutions
Description
Responsible for the Supervision of Nightshift employee(s) duties- Responsible for loading and truck scheduling.
- Ensure daily updating of the operations fleet board as per load bookings.
- Ensure that trucks with exceptional needs are prioritised.
- Manage drivers of allocated trucks by, conducting daily planning on loads, assist drivers with direction to clients and correct routes towards loading points.
- Client management through, adhering to offloading and loading slot times.
- Oversee pallet controls, by ensure pallets are returned.
- Report breakdowns, and ensure necessary steps are taken to secure load form any risk factors.
- Regulate cargo Shortages/damages/theft.
- Accountable for Adhoc duties.
- Inspecting & investigate all allocated vehicles in depots for damages.
- General administration
- Assist, supervise and mentor junior controllers where required.

Salary:
R20, R25,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- High School (matric) (required)
Experience:
Fleet Scheduling: 2 years (preferred)
