    Job Title: Business Commercial Banker and/or Industry Specialist

    Location: Makhado, Limpopo

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: R750,000 - R1,200,000 per annum

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Business Commercial Banker and/or Industry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and relationship management, with a proven track record of originating and identifying opportunities to cross-sell for commercial banking and the broader bank group.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Acquire new commercial clients with annual turnover between R30m - R1b through prospecting and networking.
    • Be a trusted advisor to commercial clients in specialised industries, providing continuous professional development and expert advice.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest economic trends and developments, applying this knowledge to add value to client engagements and identify opportunities for the greater benefit of Nedbank.
    • Identify and generate revenue through proactive cross-sell strategies, managing key internal stakeholder relationships and executing opportunities.
    • Perform financial needs analysis to identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities in line with business goals.
    • Conduct regular portfolio reviews with clients to identify and unlock value-add opportunities that contribute to client retention.
    • Establish and execute a client engagement plan to ensure all clients are interacted with frequently in line with Nedbank's growth objectives.
    • Build trusting relationships with key decision makers within allocated businesses, earning client trust by being a trusted financial partner.
    • Provide a key interface for the client to the bank, having sound knowledge of products, services, and solutions and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
    • Communicate visitation feedback to internal stakeholders after client interaction, recommending tailor-made solutions to meet client needs.
    • Manage business risks and ensure compliance by following regulatory requirements and the bank's internal policies and procedures.
    • Partner with credit manager to manage credit risk of the portfolio, preparing and presenting complex credit applications.
    • Leverage subject matter expertise to support digitization of clients and drive client awareness and solutions for sustainable development goals.

    Requirements

    • Advanced Diploma / National 1st Degree (NQF Level)
    • BCom / BSc Agric (Preferred Qualification)
    • 4-5 years of experience in Relationship Management within the financial sector.
    • 5-7 years of experience in Agriculture.
    • 2-3 years of experience in Business Acquisition is essential.
    • Experience in Sales and Deal Origination, specifically related to a Corporate Client Portfolio in a Banking, Financial Services, or Consulting environment.
