Job Summary

To act as a senior market risk analyst within CIB Global Markets responsible for managing limits and limit utilisation for a specific desk or group of desks.

Job Description:

Ensure that traded market risks are identified, measured, managed, reported and challenged to agreed standards across the relevant trading desks.

The individual will be the central point of contact for key business stakeholders and business management.

This includes close engagement with Front Office on their trading and hedging strategy and business decisions by providing insight into risk and capital implications.

The role also includes ensuring the trading strategy is well understood and that the market, business and regulatory implications of the risk taken by the desk is managed.

A top priority is enabling business, whilst maintaining a strong control environment.

The jobholder will manage and drive several strategic initiatives for Traded market Risk.

A strong understanding of market risk methodologies and metrics is required, including Value at Risk, Economic Capital and risk sensitivities.

The position also requires a detailed understanding of financial and derivative products, including options. A strong understanding of counterparty credit risk would also be beneficial.

Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
