We are looking for a Mechanical Technician who has a can-do attitude that will assist with the assembly, integration and testing of our products to ensure the highest quality.

Responsibilities

Working with Assembly, Integration and Test engineers to execute predefined testing protocols.
Basic geometric design and simple sizing / strength calculations.
Assembly of test equipment and test items.
Soldering, making up cables and connectors.
Adhoc fabrication fitting, turning, milling, welding, cutting, drilling, etc.
Testing and troubleshooting of mechanical and instrumentation systems.
Instrumentation calibration.
Maintenance of testing facilities and workshop housekeeping.
Sourcing and preparation of materials.
Generation of highquality reports on all work done.

Requirements:

Execution of the duties and responsibilities pertaining to the position demands the following experience, skills and knowledge:

At least a

National Diploma Engineering:
Mechanical or equivalent qualification.

35 years practical handson experience in a mechanical workshop or high precision testing environment.
5+ years practical experience in fitting, turning milling, welding, and fabrication of parts.
Experience with testing equipment, sensors, meters, etc.
Experience in electronics or industrial automation.
Electronic soldering, making up cables and connectors.
Exposures to CAD packages (preferably SolidWorks).
Excel and MS Word exposure.
Valid Code B Driver's license.
Willingness to learn and grow.
Excellent workshop skills.

Special working conditions
Overseas travel to client sites could be required from time-to-time.
