Description

As a Workstation Technical Manager within our Managed Service Provider (MSP) organization, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the technical operations related to workstations across multiple client environments.

You will ensure our client's employees have efficient and reliable workstation environments to support their work activities. The ability to maintain good customer relationships and alleviate stress points are crucial.


Scope of Position:

  • Focus on workstation devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and other relevant devices, across multiple client environments within the MSP.
  • Collaborate with various teams within the MSP, such as server administration, infrastructure support, procurement, and other relevant teams.

Your duties will include:

Workstation Infrastructure Management:


  • Evaluate, recommend, plan, design, deploy, configure, and monitor workstation infrastructure for multiple client environments, including hardware, software, and networking components.

Technical Support and Issue Resolution:


  • Troubleshoot and resolve workstation hardware and software problems, including diagnosing and addressing network connectivity issues across different client networks.

Workstation Security and Compliance:


  • Implement, enforce, and assess the latest security measures to protect workstations across multiple client environments from unauthorized access, malware, and data breaches.

Team Management and Collaboration:


  • Lead and supervise a team of workstation technicians within our MSP organization, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professionalism, integrity, and effective communication among team members within the MSP.

Deliverables:

  • Implement IT Blue's technical IT standards and processes across multiple client environments to ensure compliance and report of noncompliance.
  • Optimise incident prevention and resolution and assignment to the appropriate Tech support specialists keeping the customers' service levels in mind.
  • Building a professional team of appropriately skilled staff
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction for service rendered and good customer relationships with minimum stress points.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge and experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, MacOS, etc.
  • Understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, etc.
  • Knowledge of security tools and practices, such as antivirus, firewall, encryption, authentication, etc.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools and techniques, such as CPU usage, memory
  • Familiarity with hardware components commonly found on workstations.

Pay:
R15, R25,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stellenbosch,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
