About the Role

The South African National Blood Service is seeking a Clinic Supervisor to oversee the blood collection department.

The primary objective of this role is to supervise Collections Teams in achieving the following goals:

1. Meeting blood procurement targets.
2. Ensuring proper treatment of donors and patients.
3. Performing complex therapeutic procedures according to patient needs.
4. Maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise collections teams to achieve collection targets and maintain quality standards for all procedures performed at the site.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure quality and risk management for area of responsibility.
• Manage personnel to achieve operational objectives.
• Contribute to business planning and financial management.

Minimum Requirements

• Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) qualification.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• CPR certification (renewable as required).
• Valid driver's license (code 8 or 10).
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable hours within prescribed limits.
• Physically fit to stand for lengthy periods, carry loads up to 14kg, and climb stairs.
