A well-respected entity in the FMCG industry, located in the scenic town of Darling in the Western Cape, is seeking a Maintenance Manager & Coordinator.
This vital role is central to the brewery's operations, ensuring continuous equipment functionality and resource effectiveness.Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning and Coordination: Implement and manage maintenance plans to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.

Equipment Management: Perform daily equipment inspections, maintain inventory, and manage maintenance budgets.

Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and train the maintenance team.

Performance Improvement: Evaluate machinery and equipment, and identify optimization opportunities.

Housekeeping and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Reporting and Communication: Regularly update on maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Compliance and Legislation: Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety standards.
Role Outputs:
The incumbent is expected to deliver on key performance areas such as maintenance efficiency, resource management, team performance, equipment optimization, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Millwright or similar qualification.
- 34 years of maintenance experience in the FMCG industry.
Competencies:
- Maintenance expertise, knowledge of control and automation of industrial processes.
- Budget management and equipment knowledge.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a team effectively.
